Tour around Issyk-Kul Lake

Day 1: Arrival

Arrival to Manas International Airport, where you will be met by our representative with a sign with your name on it. Then, you will be transferred in a private vehicle to your hotel in Bishkek. In the evening your guide will accompany you to a local restaurant for dinner.

Day 2: Bishkek

City tour in Bishkek. Visiting city sightseeings: Oak Park, Osh Bazaar, Central Mosque, Ala-Too Square, Philharmonic hall, Opera and Ballet Theatre, Victory Square. You'll see the mixture of soviet, modern and national architecture. Lunch in the city. Visiting Ala-Archa - alpine National Park which is located 40 kilometers from the city and is one of the most picturesque places of Bishkek surroundings. There are more than 20 small and large glaciers and some 50 mountain peaks within the park. Hiking in the gorge and returning to Bishkek.

Day 3: Burana Tower and Cholpon-Ata

In the morning driving to Issyk-Kul. On the way we will stop to visit the Burana tower, which symbolizes remains of the ancient Balasagun town, belonged to Karakhanide khaganate. Reaching Cholpon-Ata city on the northern shore of Issyk-Kul. Lunch in local café. Visiting an open-air petroglyphs gallery. Here you can see an exhibition of more than 5000 stones reaching from 30 cm to 3 m in height. The age of some "paintings" is up to 4000 years old. After that, visiting Ruh-Ordo cultural center. A guide will make an exciting trip for you, full of historical facts, legends and traditions. Overnight in hotel.

Day 4: Grigorievka Gorge

Driving to beautiful Grigorevka canyon which is located near Cholpon-Ata. It's one of the most famous tourist attractions on the northern part of the lake. The sweet smell of pine trees, green mountainsides, the noise of the mountain rivers and mountain lakes lure visitors to this place. Beautiful Tien-Shan spruces grow here. Here you can taste Kyrgyz national food in a traditional yurt. You will try horse riding and hiking in the mountains. Return to hotel in the evening.

Day 5: Karakol and Jeti-Oguz

Driving further to Karakol city at the eastern end of the lake. We'll visit Russian Orthodox Church and the unique Dungan Mosque which was built without a single nail. After that, visiting Jeti-Oguz (meaning “Seven bulls”) - a lush valley with some extraordinary red sandstone rocks. Visiting a famous "Broken Heart" rock. Legend says two suitors spilled their blood in a fight for a beautiful woman. Both died, and this rock is her broken heart. Overnight in hotel or guesthouse.

Day 6: Altyn-Arashan

Driving to Altyn-Arashan gorge. It’s impossible to get there on a regular car, so we’ll get on a Soviet off-road “jeep”. There are no asphalt roads in the gorge. It may take up to 5 hours to get there. Altyn-Arashan is very beautiful place. It's famous for its hot springs. One side of the gorge is overgrown with dense spruce forest, and the other is covered with a colorful carpet of mountain herbs, flowers, berries and low shrubs. Staying in the guesthouse for a night.

Day 7: Skazka Canyon and Bokonbaevo

After breakfast, driving to Skazka canyon (meaning "Fairy Tale"). It was named due to its bizarre rocky landscape, which for many years has been transformed by wind into fabulous sculptures and formations. Visiting Bokonbaevo village which is considered as a home of falconers of Kyrgyzstan. Here you will see a falconry show - hunting with eagles. Overnight in a traditional yurt.

Day 8: Departure

Return to Bishkek. Transfer to Manas International Airport and departure.
